I assembled the Stuart from machined parts, 6" high, has 0.75 bore and stroke.


The unusual Oscillating-Cylinder Steam Engine as the rocking of the cylinder controls the slide valve and steam is introduced and released through the pivot axis. It was designed by Elmer Verburg and is in his book: Elmer's Engines, chapter 42, ISBN 0-9621671-0-X, which contains plans for 49 steam engines.
